Hanover Memorial Day Parade Details

Calling all members! Our next event is fast approaching! Monday, May 29 – Hanover Memorial Day Parade, Memorial Service and Concert. Report time: Be on the street (outside of American Legion, 201 Carlisle Street, Hanover) in full uniform. Military Veterans may wear their ribbons on their uniforms. Warm ups are at 8am. We will then rehearse Star Spangled Banner with the local high school marching bands at 8:10am. Parade steps off at 8:30am. Parade route is 1.4 miles from the Legion to the cemetery where the memorial service will begin after all participants have arrived. Lancers will perform the Star Spangled Banner with the local bands and maybe Stars and Stripes. Following the parade the entire corps is to report back to the beginning of the parade by approximately 10:15am – or as quickly as we can all safely get there – for a concert where we will perform all or part of our 2017 show. This concert is held on Park Avenue – across the street from the Legion. Hope to see all of you there for either the parade, concert or both! Remember to keep in mind the true reason for this holiday – to hold close the memory of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep our land FREE!!
